CALL FOR ARTICLES

The Cameroon Journal on Democracy and Human Rights (CJDHR) is currently acceptiing articles for Volume 3, Number 1 to be published in June 2009. CJDHR is a bi-annual scholarly publication centered on Cameroon. We encourage everyone to submit articles for publication in this journal. Preference will be given to articles on issues specific to Cameroon although articles of general application will be considered. Topics of interest to the journal include, but are not limited to:

  • Cameroon’s Judicial System
  • Juvenile Justice in Cameroon
  • Cameroon’s Electoral System
  • Women’s Rights in Cameroon
  • Children’s Rights in Cameroon
  • Elections Cameroon (ELECAM)
  • National Anti-Corruption Commission
  • National Elections Observatory (NEO)
  • Rights of Arrested and Detained Persons
  • Challenges to Durable Peace in Cameroon
  • The National Commission on Human Rights
  • Conflict Management Strategies for Cameroon
  • The Need for a Transitional Government in Cameroon
  • Rights and Resources to Refugees in Cameroon
  • Multi-Ethnicity and Ethnic Tensions in Cameroon
  • MINATD and the Management of Elections in Cameroon
  • The Need for a Truth and Reconciliation Process in Cameroon
  • Economic Justice, Development, and Human Rights in Cameroon

Please note that the above are broad suggestions only. Topics may be defined as necessary by authors. Please click on the "Journal Style" menu to view our in-house referencing style.

Submission Guidelines
Submissions must also conform to the following:

  • Manuscripts should be the original work of the contributor.
  • Manuscripts should be appropriately referenced using footnotes.
  • Manuscripts should be 2000-6000 words long, including footnotes.
  • Manuscripts should be typed in Arial 12 font, and footnote 10 font.
  • Submit an abstract of about 100 to 300 words on the contribution.
  • Authors of contributions should supply their university degrees, professional qualifications, and professional or academic status.

Publication Date
Volume 3, Number 1 of CJDHR will be published in June 2009.

Language of Publication
Articles must be in English or French. All articles will be published in the original language of submission. Send all submissions to info@cjdhr.org.
